Hello, my name is Margaret Ryan. I am a qualified, Chartered Physiotherapist based in South Belfast. I graduated from the University of Ulster as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1983 and with an MSc in Sports Medicine from Trinity College Dublin in 1998.
I worked for 15 years in the Royal Victoria Hospital where I was responsible for setting up a Physiotherapy service in A&E. With over 25 years experience in treating Musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries I have worked with the Irish mens Basketball teams from 1990 to 2003, and with the Irish World University games teams from 1989 to 2003 representing Soccer, Hockey, Athletics, Swimming, Judo, Gymnastics, Fencing and Tennis. I have also worked with GAA, Rugby and Ice Hockey and while working in private practice in Dublin I had the privilege to assess and treat clients from the School of Dance.
Musculoskeletal training has included Maitland and Mckenzie techniques among many others and I have recently completed Craniosacral Therapy levels 1 and 2. As an accredited Psychotherapist/Counsellor since 2005 I also have an interest in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
